 1. Oil leak


The main reasons are: Dirty Oil, serious pollution of solid particles; use of low quality or low grade oil; insufficient oil supply or low oil pressure; poor oil return; high oil import pressure; air filter blockage, so that the pressure imbalance on both sides of the compressor, diesel engine idle running time is too long, the oil seal has a certain negative pressure.

Rule out the method is: first check the speed of the diesel engine, if the diesel engine idling time is too long, should increase the speed; if the supercharger import oil pressure is too high or too low, should check the oil, if necessary to add or replace qualified oil; If the oil pressure shows normal, check whether the oil return passage of the supercharger is clear; dredge and clean the diesel engine crankcase ventilation; clean the air filter and check the sealing of the intake pipe connection; check whether the rotor is stuck when rotating, it is normal to rotate more than 2 ~ 3 times by inertia. At the same time, check whether the exhaust gas turbine and the compressor impeller collide with the casing The axial movement of the rotor and the radial clearance of the rotor shaft at the flange end of the compressor impeller are measured with a dial gauge and a Feeler gauge gauge respectively.

2. Compressor surge


The main reasons are: high-speed operation of the diesel engine suddenly emergency flameout or unloading; serious blockage of the air filter filter core, serious aging of the air inlet hose or being sucked flat, and so on, insufficient air intake; poor air intake of the compressor, there is too much sludge in the intake pipe and the turbine outlet passage, which increases the intake resistance; a diesel engine is equipped with two superchargers and shares one intake manifold, which causes the compressor to surge when one cylinder of the diesel engine is not working properly; there is more carbon deposit in the turbine, bearing wear, turbine or impeller blade deformation, rotor and shell friction and so on; exhaust pipe carbon blockage, resulting in exhaust gas turbine, exhaust resistance increased.

Rule out the method is: correct operation of the diesel engine, before shutdown should be idled for 3 ~ 5 minutes; check whether the air filter is blocked, if blocked should be cleaned or replaced filter; check the air inlet hose, if found to be seriously aged or sucked flat, should be replaced; Check and dredge the exhaust pipe; remove the coke deposited in the turbine blade, rotor shaft, seal ring and other parts, check whether the blade deformation, damage, check the rotor axial and radial clearance, if necessary, do dynamic balance test.

3. overheating


The main causes are: poor lubrication of the supercharger, insufficient oil pressure, high temperature or insufficient oil supply, reducing the heat carried by the oil; fuel system failure, such as fuel supply delay, fuel supply too large, injector oil or exhaust valve leakage, can lead to high exhaust temperature, and then make the turbine inlet blade burn deformation, as well as the turbine bearing local overheating; Turbine end of the oil, gas seal ring damage, high-temperature exhaust gas into the pressure chamber, so that the temperature of the turbocharger;.

The elimination methods are: check the diesel fuel supply timing and injection quality, compression ratio and cooling system to ensure that the diesel engine is not overheating under rated operating conditions; check whether the supercharger oil supply is normal, supercharger oil pressure should be 0.2 ~ 0.4 mpa; check the internal parts of the supercharger is damaged, as the case or replacement of damaged parts.

4. Too much noise


The main reasons are as follows: the inlet and exhaust interfaces of the supercharger are not well connected or sealed, and air leakage causes noise; if foreign matter enters, it will cause damage to the blades of the turbine or compressor impeller, the movement of the gas causes the supercharger to vibrate strongly and produce high frequency noise, the rotor shaft is seriously worn, the floating bearing clearance is too large, the turbine blade or bearing is damaged, the turbine rotor is carbonized, the movement track of the rotor shaft changes, the vibration of the rotor shaft is intensified, the dynamic balance is lost, and the noise is produced.

The method of elimination is to check whether the air filter is blocked, whether there is foreign matter in the compressor inlet pipe or the compressor casing, whether the diesel engine exhaust system, whether the diesel engine intake or exhaust pipe is loose, clean or tighten as appropriate. If the noise is obviously metal friction, should check the supercharger lubrication is good, whether loose bearing, whether the blade deformation, impeller and shell whether the friction, impeller and shell is sticky mud, whether the radial and axial clearance is beyond the limit, as appropriate; If the turbocharger vibration is strong, it is due to the rotor shaft assembly imbalance or floating bearing damage caused, should be decomposed supercharger, check whether there is foreign body or mechanical parts damage, as the case or replacement.
